The process
The grain rises under your fingertip.
Every commission starts with a site visit and ends with a delivery I make myself — because I need to see the piece in its room. In between, I hand-select the boards, cut the joinery by hand where machines would leave marks, and finish with beeswax and linseed oil until the surface stops accepting it.
The result is furniture that takes on the smell of the house, the scratch of a key accidentally dragged across it, the ring of a coffee cup left too long — and becomes more beautiful for all of it.
